What a lovely and very RARE, Victorian, 1910's Derby Silver Calling Card/Visiting card receiver, Cherries footed basket. The handsome handle stands upright or lays down and has nine detailed profiles of Greek and Roman Portraits. The edges of the basket are hammered with a darling silver frog perched on one side and opposite, a pretty little butterfly. The focal point is the luscious engraved cherries. Marked on the bottom Derby Silver Co. Quadruple Plate 1009. It is quite heavy weighing over two pounds and is just absolutely gorgeous! Please see photos for condition.
