Description

Antique German M1873 Artillery Sword measuring 40" overall with a blade length of 34". Fullered blade showing old sharpening, I count 4 tiny nicks on blade edge, a couple on false edge. Blade still shows original finish with age patina gray spots, smooth blade, very slight looseness guard to blade. Wood grip showing some loss underneath by pommel. Hilt and knuckle-bow show a brown patina, Blade marked on ricasso behind the langlet. "P.D. LUNESCHOLSS SOLINGEN" with a cursive "g" on the left side close to the spine top. Two ring scabbard showing brown patina and some rust pitting closer to the drag area.
