Antique Pink Brides Basket with Hand-Painted Flowers, Silver Marked Aurora 1869

Description

A beautiful Antique Pink Brides Basket with Hand-Painted Flowers, in an ornate Silver Holder Marked Aurora, established 1869 with the numbers 0784.  This marking appears on both in inside of the Silver basket and again on the bottom.  I've included both in the pictures.  The Silver is very ornate with four feet and lovely scroll work.   The basket itself is a gorgeous light pink that becomes more dark pink on the borders.  It has a lovely waved edge and is hand-painted with blue, yellow and white flowers accented with gold.  This basket and holder is in excellent vintage condition - no chips or fleabites.  There is some gold loss on the basket flower stems and leaves, commensurate with age.
