ANTIQUE SILVER PLATE SWING HANDLE BASKET, LEAF/VINE STYLE. Unknown Mark/Make/Age.
I'll be upfront and say I don't know anything about this basket other than what you can see in the pictures and size/weight.
Diameter of the Bowl/Basket is 9 1/2".
Depth is 2 1/2".
Overall height is 9".
Total weight is 1lb 15.3ozs or 888 grams.
The two nuts and bolts connecting the handle to the base look modern but the rest of the item appears to be hand crafted.
The marking on the bottom is tough to make out but I believe it is something like Bedagi or Bedagu, I tried to research it but came up empty. Then under that it says "***** plated". Its very hard to see what it says before plated but I think it said silver but i can not confirm.
I hope someone or maybe several people may know more about this Bowl or Basket and can appreciate it more than I can.
