  • Condition: VERY GOOD - previously owned, used Antique Art Glass BRIDE'S BASKET in silverplate frame - there is a flake type chip on the edge of the bowl (see pics), probably caused by the snug fit inside the frame, hard to see when in place. The silver plated frame shows some age and light wear on the base, slightly out-of-round - the metal will bend with light pressure. This is Likely an Original Pairing!

    Description

The first thing you will notice is the beautiful RUBY RED color of the antique art glass bowl in this BRIDE'S BASKET - then the crimped and ruffled rim and the distinctive Yellow floral sprays used by the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co. on its "Open Heart & Arches" pattern. The bowl is presented in an unmarked, footed silver plated frame with a decorated hoop handle. They fit together perfectly - likely an original pairing - circa 1890's. (Shown in the last photo next to a Pickle Castor with a similar insert in the "Open Heart & Arches" pattern - listed separately.) Measurements: BOWL - 11" wide, 3.5" high edge, 3.5" wide x .25 deep foot. FRAME - 10.5" tall, 11.25" wide side to side, 4" wide base ring where the bowl rests, 4" toe to toe.
