    Description

A rare find for avid antique Buffalo Pottery collectors. This pitcher is shown on page 45 of the Buffalo Pottery collectors book by Seymour and Violet Altman. The author lists this piece as: "A beautiful jug hand-decorated in a multitude of colors, with a good deal of gold trim (the gold has worn off from this piece). This jug was shown only in the Larkin catalog of 1905 but was made in subsequent years.
I would grade this piece in very good condition for its age. It has the following condition issues:
    1. Missing gold gilding
    2. Crazing throughout the piece (very common with antique Buffalo Pottery)
    3. Darkened area throughout the piece due to crazing.
    4. Heavy staining inside of the piece.
Absolutely no chips, no cracks, no repairs, no heavy scratching (faint light scratching from previous use), and very light pattern wear
    .
Please examine the pictures throughly. I will take them as close as I can get them to the piece. The value of these pieces is around 0-0. I am putting it up for auction today for less than half that price.
