The CertainTeed Encore Horizontal Vinyl Double 4.5in. Dutchlap Siding is created with many useful features and is designed with a woodgrain appearance for aesthetic. Some of these useful features include, the partial rollover nail hem technology, the PermaColor Protection, and the STUDfinder system. This partial rollover nail hem technology provides greater rigidity while being wind resistant, and the PermaColor System utilizes state-of-the-art formulations along with the newest technology to assure endurance, color performance, and resistance while backed with a Lifetime Fade Protection. STUDfinder is another useful feature of the Encore siding because it is an installation system that has letters on the nail hem of the Encore panel to ensure proper nailing to wood studs. This system is also put in place to help prevent unwanted dangers like damaged pipes or wires or exposed nails. Encore provides a high-quality siding panel with a lifetime limited warranty.The Dutchlap style of siding has a very distinct shadow line that runs along the top edge of each board or panel. The top edge is shaped to create that hand-carved look and resembles the look of boards that have been beveled on the top half at a 45-degree angle.
