Basket
Footed basket for Fruit , Cake , etc.
Attractive floral and geometric design decoration.
10" in diameter overall ( including handle )
Just over 9" tall ( with the handle upright )
Interior diameter is 8" , with diameter just under 4.5" of the inset center ring.
Marked on the back:
Wilcox Silverplate Co., Meridan , Conn., Quadruple Plate , 0889
Table ware made during the late Victorian or Edwardian era.
Around 110 - 130 Years Old.
This has been gently cleaned with baking soda & water only, with just a bit of tarnish left intact.
( I myself prefer old silver left with some patina , though it could of course be polished more completely )
This antique piece does have a few small dings, and the rim is little out of level in some places.
A few very small worn spots, but this is minor.
The handle hardware is solid and nicely snug; the handle pivots smoothly and stands upright on its own when placed in that position.
