James W. Tufts Victorian Silver-Plate Bridal Basket with Original Glass Bowl
An antique Victorian silver-plated bridal basket by James W. Tufts of Boston, MA (active c.1875-1891) with Original light amethyst color glass bowl SHELL AND TASSEL design bride’s basket, the basket has a double rod bail handle with scrolled and floral accents to the top. It also has a curved openwork apron along the base and oval reticulated sides, resting on four footed legs with pierced knees. The basket is marked “James W. Tufts Boston Mass” as pictured.
Condition: in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs, has some plate wear.
