ANTIQUE 1900s RARE 2-TONE RHODIUM GILT FILIGREE RED PASTE STONE BANGLE BRACELET. Super scarce, 2 tone rhodium & gilt gold filigree latch front bangle bracelet set with a faceted paste or glass Tourmaline red solitaire stone. The bangle measures 5/8” H & will fit up to a 7” wrist comfortably. It has an unusual front “latch” & is marked with an inverted triangle for JJ White. Really nice piece from my personal collection is in excellent condition with no issues to report save for an even dulling of finish on the inside of the band where the oil from the skin touched & tarnish on the edge of the front around the stone. This is a transitional piece combining Belle Époque & early Art Deco. I am dating this to the 1920s prior to 1933. This piece is marked pat applied for . The patent was granted in the early 1930s. This piece predates that. Very ornate. Stone color is a red meets Padparadscha with a hint of pink depending on the light in which it is viewed. Wonderful piece. No issues to report.
