    Description

    Kosta Boda vase by Kjell Engman that includes a molded fish sculpture fully signed "Kosta Boda K.Engman 7090200"
    This is a wonderful combination of Engman's love for sculpture combined with a classic vase. Its also harks back to the Swedish classics of Wilhelm Kage's art deco vases that featured silver a stylized fish on a watery ground.  Engman re-interprets this classic in glass introducing his humor and wit, naming it "Fish out of water" which may also be an autobiographical reference.
    This very showy and compelling vase is a wonderful example of Engman's work.
    Measures 10 5/8" tall in excellent condition.
