ORIGINAL GERMAN MODEL 1871 JAGER BAYONET WITH SCABBARD BY WKC

Description

ORIGINAL GERMAN MODEL 1871 JAGER BAYONET.  This bayonet features a 19 1/2 inch long bright blade marked by the manufacturer WKC.  The blade is in excellent clean condition only showing some minor age & wear.  The grip panels are in very good condition and are free of any cracks & chips.  The cross guard & pommel show some age oxidation.  The release button is in working order.  The scabbard is complete and the throat & drag are tight to the leather scabbard body.  The throat and drag fittings show some likewise age oxidation.  The leather scabbard body shows age & wear & still remains in sound condition, all of the stitching is tight and intact.  The overall length of this bayonet is 25 inches.  A great original example for your bayonet or edged weapon collection!
