It is beautifully decorated with a wide embossed border featuring herons, song birds, peacocks, spiders in their webs, snails, bees and beetles - in a garden of bamboo, flowers and grasses - exquisite details! The handle is decorated with an openwork medallion - looks like a parrot on a branch and a fly on a leaf - with an Eastlake style fan below. Marked: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. - Quadruple Plate - 1217.
