tall, charming hand painted vase by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien,
(1938-2018),
for Kosta Boda Glass Works.
This striking piece from her "Kaboka" series, is in excellent vintage condition.

easuring approximately 10.5" in height (25.67 cm), it is etched by Ms Hydman-Vallien,
"Kosta Boda Art Coll, Ulrica H V" , and is numbered "
49763" as well
.
Ulrica Hydman-Vallien was one of Sweden’s best known glass artists, whose unmistakable figures have embellished a variety of things such as mobile phones and the tails of aeroplanes. Ulrica Hydman-Vallien’s most important form of expression was her powerful imagery. She painted her striking and humorous designs straight onto the glass with free and unrestrained energy.
She designed the Open Minds series for Kosta Boda in 1986.
