A Stunning Victorian MERIDEN B COMPANY (#0161) Brides Basket w/Hand-Painted Glass Bowl.  This brides basket is breathtaking - and is remarkably in pristine condition with no chips or cracks.  It fits snugly into the silver carrier, which is clearly marked "Made and Guaranteed by Meriden B Company" with the number 0161 (see last two pictures).  The pedestal stand features ornate floral and scroll work and it stands 14" tall and 12 1/2" wide.  The holder for the stands measures 4" in diameter.  The glass bowl insert is ruffled and is opaque on the inside and the bottom of the outside then morphs to pale pink and bright pink at the ruffle.  Both the outside and the inside of the bowl is hand-painted with bunches of blue, yellow and white flowers with a dk brown center.  The outside also has gold painted branches and swirls.  The bowl is 11 1/2" in diameter at the top.  There is some fading of the gold finish that was originally around the edge of the ruffles, otherwise - there are no issues to the fabulous set.  This is one of the best bride's baskets that I've seen!!
