Our items are all used, mostly Victorian and a few vintage. They have defects. Not the first item we sell is perfect. Up for auction is a Victorian silver plate cake stand or centerpiece basket. The basket features a swing handle which will stay in the up position or can be laid flat against the rim. The rim of the basket is rippled effect of wooden vines along with what could be cluster of pom agranets. A spiraled design continues into the center of the basket down into the center. It stands on a high base with an over sized bowl making it a substantial basket with beautiful details. The basket stands about 11.5 inches tall to the top of the handle, 5 inches tall to the rim and 13 inches wide measuring across the handles. It is a very majestic piece. The large black marks are reflections and not on the basket. There are no monograms, dents, or repairs. The silver plate has lots of shine.. It will need ligth polishing or cleaning before being used for serving. There are no makers mark to determine the maker or accurate date of production. We will supply additional information and pictures if the buyer requests such. We do not believe in Buyers or Sellers Remorse. If we sell an item for less than worth we will still ship as part of our agreement but if you purchase an item we expect you to live up to your part of the bargain. Please ask questions.
