    Description

    A 6-1/2” ceramic plate from the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. Opalescent or luster white ceramic with scalloped gold rim. Colorful central image of the Unisphere (created by Gilmore D. Clarke and still on display in Queens). With silver label on the back that reads: “(C) 1961 N.Y.W.F. / Unisphere presented by (USS) United States Steel / Made in Spain.”
    Measures 6.5” in diameter.
    In good preowned condition. No chips or cracks along the edges. Transferred image has 4 lines within it—the lines inside the image are NOT cracks. Color is bright. There is a tiny dark scratch in the white above “1965,” and there are 3 tiny scratches or scuffs on edge on the back, left of the label. See images for details.
