    Description

This is a rare World War I or II German Bayonet by Fichtel and Sachs with Scabbard and frog. Made of quality metal, walnut handle, and mounted leather frog. Fichtel and Sachs was founded in Schweinfurt in 1895 as Schweinfurt precision ball-bearing factories. The company is now part of ZF Friedrichshafen.
All original; in excellent condition; barely used with minimal signs of aging and wear, particularly the leather frog is missing one of the four metal buttons/fasteners. Some inscriptions on bayonet including manufacturer’s name, symbols/logos, and numbers 31 and 26.
Bayonet measures approximately 23” long with a 15” long scabbard/blade.
