    Description

    This is one of the nicest WW1 Prussian M1889 Officers Degen that you will find being offered for sale at this time.  This sword has an engraved blade, both sides and they are different from one another. One side appears to have a unit inscription, the other has to do with the profile of his head. The hand guard is nickle platted and it bears the Heraldic Crest of Prussia. This pattern of sword was used by Bavaria, Prussia,Saxony and Wuttenburg. The ricasso is stamped...W.&Coe. Solingen...(Weyersburg & Coe.) This was before it became W.  K. & Coe....(Weyersburg Kirschbaum).. This big sword has the original rolled steel scabbard and it is in great condition.
    This big sword measures 38.5 inches with the blade at 33 inches.
