WWI ACS M1889 German Prussian Infantry Officers Degen Sword

Description

WWI Model 1889 German Prussian Infantry Officers Sword. The ricasso is marked with "ACS" and scales. The brass guard is tight but the grip moves a small amount if you force it. The grip is 95% complete and the cypher is missing. The twisted wire is almost complete but it is loose and there is a piece of the thinner wire missing from the top row by the pommel. There is an "86" on the underside of the crossguard. The double fullered blade is unsharpened, the tip is sharp, has a few nicks, some small age spots with a little surface rust, and there are a couple bends on the lower third. Washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 32 1/8" (13/16" wide x 1/4" thick spine), and overall length of the sword is 37 7/8".
